On Monday 14th November, Lauren, Lizzie and Aimée came into school to have a meeting and talk about the types of things we need practise/consider, such as costume, makeup and use of lighting.
First of all, We styled Lizzie's hair with straighteners. The reason why we decided to keep her hair straight, rather than curly, because we thought it would suit well with the costume and make her look more smart for the photographs.
We brought in plenty of makeup to decide upon and what would be suitable for lizzie to wear with her outfit. Lauren helped apply the makeup to Lizzie's face and eyes.
We brought in different lighting (such as fairy lights) to see how effective it would look and to help us have some practise before the day we film, and to see whether the lighting worked properly.
When taking shots of Lizzie, we had some considerations about the type of style the album Digipak can look like. Whilst taking shots, we talked about how suitable the photographs can look in relation to the style of the song, the concept and the image we are creating for the artist.
Main points of the day:
- Test shots
- Planning makeup/costume
